Web-user Tracking for Data Analytics and Advertising

When you use the Website, or the content therein, certain tracking technologies provided by third parties are found on our Website which may use automatic information collection technologies (e.g., cookies or pixels) to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include advertisers, ad networks, ad servers, analytics companies, your mobile device manufacturer, and your mobile service provider. These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Website. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content.

In particular, our Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), that uses tracking technologies to analyze your use of and interaction with our Website. Information that Google may collect for this purpose includes page views, scrolls, videos or links that were clicked, a unique client ID attributable to your device and browser information, your approximate age, gender, interests, language settings on your device or browser, and approximate location metadata derived from your IP address (city, state, and country) (collectively, "Google Analytics Data"). Google Analytics Data is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States where it is analyzed for purposes of generating reports on web traffic patterns on webpages and/or other content on our Website ("Google Analytics Report"). Google provides us with the Google Analytics Reports so that we may tailor our Website to accommodate the needs of our web users. Google may also transfer Google Analytics Data and Google Analytics Reports to third parties, if required by law or if third parties process such information on behalf of Google. A general overview of Google’s data privacy practices for Google Analytics may be available at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245. For more information on Google’s privacy practices generally, please review Google's privacy policy. Our Website also uses Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to provide relevant advertisement to you. These tools help us better understand visitors’ online experiences (e.g., how much time the visitor spends on which pages, which links they choose to click, the visitors’ click rates (to measure things like hesitation or frustration), etc.). To provide these analytics and insights, these analytics partners use first-party cookies and other technologies to process data of our visitors’ behavior and their devices on our behalf. This may include data like the device’s IP address, Online ID (like a Cookie ID number), device type and screen size, browser information, geographic location (only down to the city-level), e-commerce data, the preferred language used to display our Website, and the behavior of users while using our Website, including behaviors of users with accessibility needs. To improve its tool and services to us, these analytics partners may reuse this data for their internal development purposes.

If the user has a social media account, the user may be able to interact with their social media account on websites he or she visits. For example, the social media account user may be able to ‘like’ or ‘share’ content on a website which then may be shared on the social media page. When using social media plugins, certain information about website users may be collected and shared with the third-party social media provider for data analytics and/or advertising purposes.
