What is My account?

My account helps you manage your profile, manage payments/ addresses, view your account activity, create and edit users and set spending limits, view and extract savings and spends reports, view shared items/carts. My account also enables users to manage orders, track order status, manage auto reorders, manage lists, retrieve quotes, pay invoices and write product reviews. Please visit My Account to check things out.

How do I open an account?

Opening A New Account

You may create a new account by visiting the New Account Registration Page and filling in the fields. For credit application information, click here or call 1-770-822-5600, ext. 2914.

Account Login

To manage your account you must first login into your account. Click on the "Sign In" link in the top navigation. "My Account" link is also located in the bottom area of the website under Customer Support. You can login to your account by entering "Username \ Email" and "Password" and then click on the "Sign In" button. If you do not have an account you can click on "Register” tab to get a Global Industrial account.

After you log in you are brought to "Your Account" page. You can manage your "Account Settings," Order Management” and "Communications" by using the left navigation.

How do I reset my password?

Your password can be reset by selecting "Forgot password” on the Log-In page and submitting your username/e-mail on the login page or on the following page. You may also contact our Web Helpdesk at 1-800-654-1232.

Once the user clicks on “Send link” the below screen will come up where the user can choose one of the options to reset the password.

How to Login through One-time Password free Login?

You can also login through one-time unique link or OTP by entering the email id/username/mobile number in the below screen on the login page. Once you enter the email, a one-time link will be sent to your registered email id to login to your account.

Why is My Account locked, and how do I unlock it?

After several login attempts with an incorrect password / User ID combination your account is locked for your security. To unlock your account, please contact customer support at 1.888.381.2861 or service@globalindustrial.com

What settings does my account give me access to?

Your account allows you to view your account information once you have logged in. If you have an assigned Sales Rep, the contact information will be displayed on your account page for your convenience.

Here is the list of account features that can be managed.

  • Change Name, Email Address, or Password You can click on Account details under Manage account and edit your name, email address, and phone number, as well as your username and password.
  • Manage Addresses You can click on Shipping address under Manage Account to manage and add multiple shipping addresses. Click the "add new address" button on shipping address page to add an additional shipping address to your account. You can edit or delete existing addresses from this page.
  • Manage Payment Options You can click on Payment Options under Manage account to manage your payment options by adding, editing or deleting the cards. Click on “Add new card” on payment options page to add a new card. Click on “Edit” icon to edit the existing card and “delete” icon to delete the card.
  • View Account Activity You can click on view account activity under Manage Account to view all the activity in terms of new orders created, orders shipped, new users created, Cart /item details shared by an individual along with the activity date.
  • Manage Communication Preferences On the left menu, you can click on “Communication Preferences” under Manage account to Manage your email and SMS preferences. On this page you can select email subscriptions you would like to receive or cancel by checking the box next to the subscription/preferences name and then clicking "update preferences". You may also unsubscribe from our mailing list directly by clicking on “unsubscribe from emails/Unsubscribe from SMS/Unsubscribe from all” and then click on “update preferences”. A pop-up blocker may interfere with unsubscribing. Checking your internet settings is recommended.
  • User Roles & Spending Limits (available for only business accounts) Create and assign multiple user roles and spending limits. Create a new user role by clicking the "Add new User” button. Fill out the required contact and account information. Set the new user’s role, administrator and spending limit. Once the initial role has been set up, you can modify the user’s role, assigned buyer/admin and spending limit by clicking on edit icon. Orders do not need approval if an user purchases within the set spending limit. Set a spending limit set to 0 to have all orders follow the approval process. Set the spending limit to -1 to give users unlimited spending.
    • Administrator The Administrator can create and manage contacts with any role, view and approve all order placed for the account, and manage billing addresses and credit card information. An administrator can place orders without any spending limit.
    • Buyer Buyers can place orders without any spending limit. A buyer cannot create or manage contacts, but can manage their profile and update their shipping address.
    • Jr. Buyer A Jr. Buyer can place orders within their assigned spending limit. Orders over the spending limit will be suspended until the assigned buyer or administrator approves this order.
    • Associate Associate can place orders within their spending limit. Orders over the spending limit will be suspended and will be sent to assigned buyer for approval. Associate cannot approve orders by other contacts. They can manage their profile and update their shipping address. Set an associate’s spending limit to zero dollars in order to put all orders on hold. Contacts with roles "Administrator", "Buyer" can only be assigned as supervisor of contact with roles "Jr. Buyer" and "Associate".
  • Orders Awaiting Approval (available for only business accounts) The administrator /buyer role will have the access to approve/deny the orders and hence will be able to either approve /deny the orders on this screen Jr. Buyer/Associate will be able to view if their orders are approved /denied on this screen.
  • Savings & Reports View month to date, year to date and life time savings and spends of all users and download the reports. You can download the reports for a specific date range. You can manage the columns in the report by clicking on manage columns and selecting the required fields.
  • My Shopping Lists You can navigate to shopping lists through my account page and create multiple shopping lists of frequently ordered products. Delete, create and combine shopping lists as well as edit the shopping list name from this screen. You can open the list and delete items or add selected items to the cart.
  • Write Product Reviews You can navigate to Write your product reviews through my account page. Items you have not left reviews for will have a " Write a review” button next to them. Click the button to add a review for the item you purchased.
  • Retrieve Quote View sales quotes from your sales representative. Status next to the quote will let you know if the quote is available, expiring soon or expired. Clicking the quote will bring up the items quoted. If the quote is available you can click on the checkout button where you will be directed to the payment screen. We also offer PayPal checkout.
  • Retrieve Shared Carts You can view the carts shared with you by other users
  • Saved Articles View your saved knowledge center articles by clicking on the saved articles on my account page.
